This is a gallery of glitched photos (from unsplash.com) for my Creative Coding glitch art project. The theme for my gallery starts as average fall-themed pictures with bright colors that give the feel of going on a road trip to a mountain cabin. Then, the pictures start to become more glitchy and creepy, giving the effect that the cabin is haunted/eerie. The last two photos lead to the conclusion that someone was in the cabin or something bad happened during the camping trip. I went with this spooky theme because I felt it went well with the Halloween season. I used a mixture of Gimp, Audacity, Hex Fiend, and Pixelsorting with a Python terminal to create these effects. The bottom of each picture shows the file name, which says what tools I used for each. I felt that using pixel sorting worked best on the last picture and gave the creepiest effect, but otherwise I liked audacity’s echoing effect the most.
